The Scuba Sports Club (TSSC) is an independent,
not-for-profit scuba club with members from Westchester and surrounding
counties. All are welcome at our monthly
meetings. And check out our dive and social event calendars!
Every month we publish a newsletter, the Sea Swells Log, which includes
reports on our recent and upcoming activities. Many of the recent issues
are available on-line.
General meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month
at 7:00 PM at Victor's Restaurant in Hawthorne, NY. Every month we have a
program which includes a distinguished speaker. Presentations will
begin promptly at 8:00 PM.
The SS President Coolidge is one of the world's most famous shipwrecks. In 2006, professional underwater photographer and videographer, Mike Gerken, spent four months filming this historically significant wreck and another year researching and collecting archival photos and film footage where he eventually completed a full length documentary titled "The Wreck of the SS President Coolidge". Please join Mike for his presentation on the history of the "Coolidge" from her years as a luxury passenger liner to her untimely demise in the waters of Vanuatu while serving as a troop transport ship for the US Military in the South Pacific during WWII.
